Term Life Insurance

Term life insurance delivers the highest death benefit at the lowest cost. It is the most efficient way to protect your family's income, your mortgage, and your business obligations during your most critical financial years.

How It Works

Simple. Affordable. Powerful.

Term life insurance provides a guaranteed death benefit for a specific period — 10, 20, or 30 years. If you die during the term, your beneficiaries receive the full death benefit, income-tax free. If you outlive the term, the policy expires.

Because term insurance has no cash value component, it is the most affordable form of life insurance by far. A healthy 35-year-old male can obtain $1,000,000 of 20-year term coverage for approximately $50–$70 per month through Vanderbilt Financial Group.

The key strategic advantage of Vanderbilt Financial Group term insurance is its convertibility: you can convert all or part of your term policy to a permanent policy (whole life or VUL) without a new medical exam — preserving your insurability even if your health changes.

This makes term insurance particularly valuable for younger clients who want maximum coverage now with the option to lock in permanent coverage later.

Coverage Options

Choosing Your Term Length

01

10-Year Term

Lowest premium

Ideal when you need coverage for a defined short window — covering a business loan, a key employee, or a period when children are young but will soon be self-sufficient.

Best for: Short-term income gaps, bridge coverage, business key-person

02

20-Year Term

Moderate premium

The most common term period. A 20-year term started at 35 covers you until age 55 — exactly when most clients have paid off their mortgage and built significant retirement savings.

Best for: Mortgage protection, peak earning years, raising children

03

30-Year Term

Higher than 20-year

Maximum protection at an age when health qualifications are easiest to achieve. Lock in the lowest possible rate for 30 years before health changes increase premiums or cause insurability issues.

Best for: Young families, largest mortgages, long dependency windows

Policy Enhancements
